Kalorie

Photobucket Photobucket  Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

So, i haven't had a real cupcake in years now, considering how cupcakes nowadays are WAYYY too overpriced for me. I was pleasantly surprised when i had friends telling me that delifrance cupcakes were priced at only $2.80 each. I went ahead and bought just two pieces, oreo cream cheese and a chocolate supreme or something. And here is my thought... how can anyone eat one cupcake and not feel the horrible guilt! Just sinking my teeth into the creamy pile of calorie induced nightmare was just... too much for me to take. Luckily i had a cold glass of honey citrus tea to wash away the sin....
Cupcakes with pretty frosting and yummy colors looks pretty and all, but the cream was just... i guess i am no cupcake person. That said, i shall stick to my muffins and sponge cakes :)

Kwan's

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Part 3 of my KL photo diary, as you can see, it's food again! We decided to go posh on the last day and had a lunch at mdm kwan's in KL CC. The food was really good and worth the price, with its large portions and we also ordered different dishes to share. Ended the meal with a cup of hot lemon tea with a small beaker of honey. Almost perfect to end the holiday.

Mango Feast!

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Was at the pavilion mall in KL and we stopped by for an afternoon dessert at a HK dessert shop located near the top of the building. And man, the food we had was so good, and i really wanted to get a second portion of it. There was the mango feast, and we had cold mango ice cream served with coconut pudding noodles, iced cold mango sago and icy melon and coconut dessert, perfect for beating the horrible 38 degree heat.

Getaway

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Went for a short getaway to Kuala Lumpur with my family, while the city was not very exciting and the traffic was chaos, i really enjoyed spending time with my parents and i guess the highlight of the trip was really getting to be with my them. The bus 6 hour bus ride, although a huge turn off for the three of us, i did enjoy the scenic views of the rural villages, vast palm tree plantations, mountainous regions and rare sightings of cows atop of green hills munching away the late afternoon. Other than the lousy traffic systems and messy layout of the city, the food was cheap and rather good i must say. More to come soon!

Black light, snow white.

The beach was empty except for a weird man walking around alone.

some visuals taken after a day at the beach, had a lovely day soaking up the sun, having junk food and just lazing around. Throw in some company of friends and some good music, makes a perfect holiday. Came home with a horrible sun burn though, and nasty skin peeling off my shoulders!

Quick meals

Woke up feeling really sick and sore, couldn't even climb out of bed for 10 minutes. I hate it when you wake up and your throat is dry and sore and nose blocked. And when i stand up i get woozy and fall back on my bed. Made some hot miso and chicken porridge with kimchi, seasoned seaweed and braised peanuts. Stayed home all day watching 21st jump street and drinking hot broth.

Omelette noodles

Made lunch today, was planning to cook kimchi noodles the usual way, which is to cook the noodles and serve with hot soup and cold kimchi, but decided to make an omelette and fill it with noodles! The dish was a passable attempt, but it did not wrap the noodles enough, should've used a bigger pan! Had it with some cold kimchi and braised peanuts at the side.

Breakfast in a beaker

So while walking around art friend, an arts supply shop, i chanced upon some science laboratory equipments, and fell in love with a glass beaker. Yes, i fell in love with it, swooped it up and headed for the cashier. There are so many things i could do with a laboratory beaker. I could, eat my morning cereal in it, make iced latte, fill it with all sorts of goodies and pretend that i am drinking chemicals. The heat must be getting to my head.

Pumpkin Pasta!

Made lunch yesterday with some leftover pumpkin mash and made a pumpkin pasta, topped with bits of ground meat and a yummy poached egg! I also added some sesame puree to the egg just to give the egg some flavour. Turned out pretty delish and i ended up licking the plate clean like a cat.

Also, i haven't been able to find a temporary job anywhere and the perfect 3 day jobs have all been filled up.. i am not greedy, i just wanna earn some extra cash to feed me for the next 5 weeks!! Or else i would have to eat grass and drink tap water. Someone please hire me!!!
